Landscape Gallery - A look at the quiet, wild, and in‑between moments found outdoors.

Landscape and adventure photography from Iceland, Norway, Japan, Montana, Utah, and Northern California.

This gallery represents years of chasing light, weather, and wild places across the globe. From the volcanic black sand beaches of Iceland to the autumn colors of Japanese mountain ranges. From Norway's dramatic fjords to the red rock amphitheaters of Bryce Canyon. From Montana's vast wilderness to the familiar trails and coastlines of my home base in the Bay Area.

Some of these images come from dedicated photography trips where the entire purpose is to be in the right place at the right time—watching midnight sun paint Norwegian cliffs gold, or waiting for storm light over Icelandic waterfalls. Others happen during family travel or work trips, when I carve out early mornings or late evenings to explore with a camera.

This is where I photograph purely for myself. No client expectations, no timeline, no "safe" shots. Just the challenge of capturing what makes each place unique—the quality of light in Iceland's endless summer, the way fog moves through Japanese cedar forests, the scale of Montana's sky, the intimate drama of California's coastal bluffs.

What this means for clients:

If you're considering a destination adventure session—an elopement in Iceland, engagement photos in Japan, family photos in the Sierra—this work shows I'm comfortable with challenging locations, unpredictable weather, and the logistics of international or backcountry photography. I'm based in Mountain View and available for sessions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Many of these landscapes also inform my local work. The lessons learned chasing light in Norway apply to Bay Area coastal sessions. The patience required for Japanese mountain photography translates to California redwood forests.

This is the photography that reminds me why I do this work—the pursuit of moments that only exist for a few minutes, in specific places, under specific conditions.
